Letting it Out ...Poetically

These poems may give an idea of my writing mission:

Personal experiences, insctincts, feelings, and a bit of reflection.

Aren’t those the qualities that make us human?

My Reality

I have never understood,
why poems should be poetic,
mysterious, symbolic, obscure.

Something screams from inside of me:

There is nothing in the whole world,
that could be more powerful
than reality
in its purest, naked form:

The way it simply occurs to me!

The Scribbler

My eloquence,
said the lecherous scribbler,
has developed over the last few years,
through relentless observation,
and ceaseless study,
and incessant talking,
and irresistible writing,
to such a perfect degree,

And here he raised his voice,
threw his arms wide up in the air,
and clicked his tongue,

That I can write about e v e r y t h i n g:
from the lust in ancient Rome
to the greed on Wall Street,
not to mention the intrigues on Mars and Venus.

I understand, I replied softly, but tell me: Can you also write about yourself? How do you feel now?
How did you feel then?

Here his voice began to tremble, his arms sank abruptly, his tongue slackened, and yellow saliva ran out of his muzzle in thick drops.

Well, I don’t mean that writing from our personal feelings is a universally valid approach. I do understand that every artist, every writer, needs to find out which way is right for them.  All I can say is that it is absolutely the only right way for me!
